About Me
I have lived in the Durham Region for most of my life. I am a proud graduate of Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School. My three daughters are students/graduates of Durham Catholic schools and my family and I are parishioners at St. Mary of the People Parish. In addition to running a property management business, I have served as the trustee for Oshawa for the last 8 years, and as Vice-Chair and Chair of the Board for 5 of those 8 years. I am currently the Chair of the Board and have held roles on our Special
Education Advisory Committee, Student Senate, Discipline, Finance and Audit
Committees.
Why Vote For Morgan Ste. Marie
Transparency
As an elected representative, I am committed to transparency in decision-making. I will ask thoughtful questions, examine the available data, and ensure decisions are consistent with established policies and procedures. Through an open, accountable, and data-informed approach, I will work to build trust and support outcomes that serve the best interests of students, families, and the community.
Through the founding of Canada, Catholic education has been an important element of our history. In my role as an elected Catholic Trustee, I want to continue to promote Catholic values and promote resources that aid in the faith formation of our students. Let's continue to build-up this education system so that our graduates are faith-filled and responsible citizens.

Advocacy
As an elected representative, I serve as a voice for parents, families, and Catholic ratepayers. I am committed to listening to concerns, representing diverse perspectives, and helping constituents navigate board processes when challenges arise. When individual concerns reflect broader systemic issues, I will work to elevate those matters appropriately and advocate for solutions that support the interests of students, families, and the wider community.
Student Achievement
The top priority in the list of Trustee responsibilities is to promote student achievement. This means directing resources to students, taking steps to improve outcomes for all students, and focusing on graduating resilient, adaptable and competent students.
